Painting of Avon Gorge

The Two Sides of Bristol

September 2014

Acrylic on Canvas 594mm by 841mm

Category: ,

I have wanted to paint this for a while and have had many failed attempts along the way. Even with this picture some of my friends have had to live through a week or more of complaining and criticising on a daily basis while I fiddled and re-painted.

Overall I am happy with the look and it perfectly sums up the essence of Bristol. It always has two sides, whether it be wealth, race, or in this case, the rural countryside and the built up, over populated city. The bridge is the connection between the two sides.
