I completed this while on my course at The Bristol FolkHouse. I loved the simplicity of the original picture as well as the relationship between the two birds. A slightly different tone and they could appear to be fighting or feeding. Personally I believe this is a mating dance as indicated by the warm tones of the background. This was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things I have ever painted.
