After a frustrating couple of weeks failing to paint portraits I decided to give myself a break. I was the first to attempt this in my art class but I think it works pretty well. It was very satisfying to paint and had a good balance of techniques to try out. Also got to use a brand new colour – naples yellow – which I really love.
